More on Prenatal Care from Dr. Gabby of the inside space.

Today we’re picking up where we left off last Friday with part two of Dr. Gabby’s thoughts on prenatal care. If you didn’t read the first part, click on that link and get caught up. She’s a wealth of knowledge, love, and light you guys. Look her up. She’s such a wonderful healthcare provider.

As a pediatric and prenatal chiropractor, it has been incredible to witness the real-life result of mom and baby living synergistically for nine months. When a mom takes great care of herself in all of the ways mentioned above, the baby comes into this world with a much greater bandwidth to show up in the fullest expression of who they are in their earliest moments of arrival and beyond. There is no greater gift than to see our prenatal clients birth healthy children who are expressing nothing but life.

If you didn’t undergo prenatal chiropractic care from the beginning and you are just now seeing this, don’t worry.

It is never too late to start and experience the benefits of care.

Inviting a prenatal chiropractor to join you on your pre- and post-natal journey can be an absolute game changer. While we may not live in the tribal communities of yesteryear, we hope that we can be a chunk of the next best thing. We hope to occupy a space in communities in which that knowledge and wisdom can resurface and can spread like wildfire, serving as a reminder that you absolutely CAN do this. You’ve always been able to. Just let us help you remember.

And now, some supplemental info from the American Pregnancy Association related to chiropractic care.

During pregnancy, there are several physiological and endocrinological changes that occur in preparation for creating the environment for the developing baby. Some of those changes can result in a misaligned spine or joints that move out of place. Pelvic changes, less-than-optimal posture as well as physiologic postural changes, and of course the ever-growing midsection with an increase in weight distribution and an exaggerated spinal curve are all common misalignments that cause discomfort.

Establishing pelvic balance and alignment is a wonderful reason to obtain

chiropractic care during pregnancy, even if a person doesn’t seek this kind of care

during any other time of their life.

A misaligned pelvis might reduce the amount of room available for the developing baby and has the potential to make it difficult for the baby to get into the best possible position for delivery. The nervous system is the master communication system to all the body systems including the reproductive system. Keeping the spine aligned helps the entire body work more effectively.

Potential benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy include:

  • Maintaining a healthier pregnancy

  • Controlling symptoms of nausea

  • Reducing the time of labor and delivery

  • Decrease in labor intensity

  • Increased connection to self and baby

  • More ease physically, chemically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually

  • Relieving back, neck, or joint pain

  • Preventing a potential cesarean delivery
