WHAT I'M INTO THESE DAYS - September 15, 2022

WHAT I’M WORKING ON:

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve started Dr. Aviva Romm’s program Herbal Medicine for Women! I’ve followed her for years and have referred her books to people, amazed at her wealth of knowledge on so many important topics. Her vast knowledge of herbs and how best they can serve the female body blows me away. If you aren’t familiar with her, check out her site. She’s got a podcast, several books, and more educational tracts you could pursue. This herbal medicine program is self-paced which can be both a blessing and a curse for me, but I hope to complete it within 24 months. Eeek! I’m really excited to add this area of focus to my services and learn how to incorporate herbs into not only my business, but my personal life as well!

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:

I have my own office space… outside of my home! Located in the gorgeous and bustling Victorian Village area of Columbus, I have a cute office located inside The Sanctuary on Neil. I started renting last month and I’m just about settled in. Having this space will be great for meeting with clients, networking with fellow community partners, and having a space dedicated to just my business. For those who work from home, isn’t it so distracting at times?! I was always getting distracted by laundry needing to be done, dishes needing to be put away, dust bunnies showing up when the sun hit a surface at various times of the day. My new office space is simple, cozy, and just right for me. I’m so thankful for it!

WHAT I’M PROMOTING:

Columbus-based therapist, life coach, workshop facilitator and all around fantastic human Michelle Risser is launching a new group! Following the Afterglow Group Curriculum, Michelle will be hosting an online support group for new moms in Ohio on Tuesdays at 10am EST. The group will run for 6 weeks and is open to anyone who identifies as a mother struggling to adjust to the demands of new motherhood. (I’m more than a decade into motherhood, but I still feel like I’m struggling to adjust and I sure could use a group like this!) The small gathering of 3-8 mothers allows Michelle to cultivate a space of trust, confidentiality, and one free of judgement. As parents we’re all facing enough battles internally and externally in these precarious times. To be part of group like this as a new parent could be potentially life changing. Click her name above to go to Michelle’s site and contact her about the group. And if you decide to go, please let me know! I’m rooting for all of you out there!
